A Teacher Hello - Imagine

Hi ya everyone!
I used my Imagine for this little apple card.  I recently purchased Kate's Kitchen and I LOVE it!  I used Kate's Kitchen for the images and papers.  I chose Bazzill Red Devil paper and a Bazzill brown as well.
The inside paper and the paper stamped with Hello is a Melissa Francis simple notebook paper.  I am linking my card to She's A Sassy Lady for the opportunity to win some fun blog candy!

Friendships are sewn... - Meljen's Design Challenge and Release

Hi ya everyone!
There is a new release and challenge at Meljen's Designs!  I love this little set that Melissa created for this week:
I chose to use the Heart Quilt Square and the Love is Sewn image - both can be found HERE at Whimsy Stamps.  This week's challenge is to "Frame It" - somewhere you must frame something.
I loved this challenge and had fun creating a card with a frame around the new images I colored in Copics.  Please join us at the Meljen's Designs Challenge blog for a chance to win some images!

Just a quick card I wanted to share.  I used this sweet girly from Some Odd Girl named Balloon Kaylee.  There is an adorable clear stamp like this too right HERE.  I used this cute paper from My Minds Eye.  In the end I added some little white accents with my gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by today.  I colored the flower embellishments with my markers - including the pearls to match the papers.

Blow Me Away - Some Odd Girl

Hi ya everyone!
I've had a productive creative week!  I love when that happens!  I used this adorable little Panda called Pinwheel Panda that is available at Some Odd Girl as a clear stamp.  I love these great stamps - they are the perfect size for coloring.  I decided to go with Kraft paper - for me it's a bit difficult.  I think with these papers from the DCWV Playtime stack though it worked perfectly.
My daughter taught me how to make the little pinwheel flower!! She insisted it was a poinsettia though!!! =)

Miss You - Meljen's Designs Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
It's my off week for the Meljen's Designs Challenge, but I just can't help and share a Meljen's Designs card with you.  This week there is no new release - thank goodness that Melissa Jenkins the artist of Meljen's Designs has taken a break!  That girl has released 3-5 new images every week since she started!!!  However we are still having a challenge and that is a recipe challenge: 1 bow, three brads and a circle.  So please stop by and join the fun!
This Raggy Puppy that I colored in my Copics is probably one of my all time favorite Meljen's Designs images.  Isn't he the cutest?  He can be found right HERE at Whimsy Stamps.  The paper is Basic Grey.

Imagination has no age - Tiddly Inks Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
We are having a whole movie month at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and this week is a Nature Movie Challenge.  I went with the Tinkerbell movies because I love them just about as much as my daughter does!  One of my favorite characters is Silvermist the water fairy.  I decided to use her as inspiration for this card and chose the new Tiddly Ink image called Druscilla.  I love the Tinkerbell quote "Imagination has no age" and decided to add it as well.
The paper is from Graphic 45.  I used Copics to color her of course and her wings were covered with glossy accents and then dusted with perfect pearls.  Please stop by Tiddly Inks and pick up a gorgeous image and join us in our nature movie challenge this week!

A Love Story - Gypsy and Imagine

Hi ya everyone today is the day for me to share at She's A Sassy Lady.  I've been using my Imagine a bit lately because my Expressions conked out on me.  I have to admit I'm loving this machine and even have managed to get a few more carts for it.  Today, I thought I would help those that love their Gypsy and have yet to use it with their Imagine.
First, here's a quick video on how to attach your Imagine Cartridges to your Gypsy once you have the application installed.  I apologize for the video quality - it's a bit blurry as I typically don't do videos - but it's clear enough to understand.
Now, let's learn how to use the Gypsy with the new cartridges that you've attached.
First, select the Imagine application on your Gypsy.  For this project I chose the print and cut button.
On the bottom left hand side of the screen you should now see three little icons.  The first is your basic cricut cartridges.  The second is the imagine itself that comes preloaded with a few fun shapes.  Last, is the list of your Imagine cartridges.  I chose this icon to select the paper I wanted.
I wanted to use the Audrey Imagine Cartridge for this project.
Because the Audrey cartridge is a pattern only cartridge it takes me to this next screen.
I tap on this screen to select this cartridge. Next, I choose the cricut cartridge I want to work from.
For this card I wanted to use Cindy Loo.  I scrolled down the list until I got to Cindy Loo and selected it by tapping on the cartridge.
Once you choose the cartridge the screen will appear that's a replicate of the keypad.  I chose the frame option.
I then chose the little frame with the birdhouse on the bottom right corner.
Once I selected the frame it comes up at the top of the screen in the bar.  In this bar I tapped on the frame I chose and the edit button appears.  Here you can do three things.  Edit with the pencil tool, duplicate with the squares at the bottom and also the remove button which is the red circle.
I chose the edit button - the pencil by gently tapping on it.  On this screen I can add my pattern paper to my image.  I clicked on the blue pattern.
Once the pattern was added I decided to change the size to fit on my A2 sized card.  In the above picture you can see the little + and - with numbers on each side.  I touch the + to increase the size and the - to decrease the size.  This is fabulous because once you change the frame size any extra additions such as the layers for the house will automatically be the correct size.
I then chose the imagine icon at the bottom to go to those great extra shapes that come preloaded.
I chose this square for some patterned matching paper.
I chose a red pattern and then clicked next.  I then chose the duplicate square after gently tapping on the square in the bar.
Once I duplicated the square I chose the duplicate and changed the pattern.  I chose the next button on the screen and could then see each page that would need to be print and cut.  Here are three pages.  They are viewed starting with the last page and you can scroll back to see each page.  When you go to print and cut they will print in order page 1 to page 3.
As you can see on the first page I added a few elements following the same directions as before.  I will often click back and forth between these pages to see the size of the images I'm adding.  Once I am ready to print I hit the next button.
The screen will then direct me load the mat and away it goes.  I decided to make a second card as well with the left over bird and I did print some extra paper.

I added a sentiment from Straight from the Next too.  Thanks for checking out my tutorial today and for more fun projects stop by She's A Sassy Lady.
Please leave comments and ask questions below!! I love to hear from you!

Thinking of You - Some Odd Girl Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
Some Odd Girl is having such a fun challenge on their challenge blog!  You are to pick a design team member and basically lift their design!!!  How fun - the talent at SOG is really amazing and it was difficult to pick just one person!  I decided to use Asa's card (Her Blog) for my case and it can be found HERE.  I love Asa's style and this card was perfect for me.
I decided to go with greens for my card as I got the new DCWV Yellow and Green stack (LOVE this and it screamed Some Odd Girl).  Thank you Asa for all of your inspiration!!!

A Simple Life - Imagine

I created this simple card using my Imagine.  All patterns/papers are from the Hop Scotch cartridge.  I stitched along the side of my card and along the jeans side.  I colored my pearls with Copic Y38 to match the yellow in the dress.  The font is cut from Lyrical Letters.  I also colored the socks with C3 Copic to give it a gray toe and heal.  I'm starting to LOVE this machine.  The simplicity is amazing actually as I can whip up a gorgeous card in an hour.

For the Love of Tiddly Inks

I am in love with the new release at Tiddly Inks.  These girls are just too adorable and so Victorian!  It's so hard to pick just one (and Tiddly Inks has them in a bundle so you don't have too) - so I had to create another project using Precious.  I pulled out these gorgeous papers that I've just had sitting untouched in my stash and decided that they were just perfect for this image.
Make sure to join in our fun I Spy game to qualify to win some of these fabulous images - just click HERE.
